چکیده

An electric multiple unit (EMU) high-speed train is the dynamic load that degrades power quality in an railway system. Therefore, a improvement system using active filter (APF) must be considered. Due to oscillating current condition, fast and accurate harmonic current-tracking performance required. As such, this paper proposes design of model predictive control (MPC) since minimization cost function MPC process can suitably determine APF switching states. The technique based on mathematical model. This controller was designed compensate time delay digital control. Moreover, synchronous detection (SD) method applied reference calculations, as shown paper. To verify proposed MPC, overall implemented eZdsp F28335 board by hardware-in-the-loop technique. testing results indicated provide response compared with proportional-integral controller. In changing still effective providing good result after compensation. percentage total distortion, unbalance factor, factor would also kept within IEEE Standard 519 1459.

Improved Optimization Process for Nonlinear Model Predictive Control of PMSM

Model-based predictive control (MPC) is one of the most efficient techniques that is widely used in industrial applications. In such controllers, increasing the prediction horizon results in better selection of the optimal control signal sequence. On the other hand, increasing the prediction horizon increase the computational time of the optimization process which make it impossible to be imple...

Model predictive control for railway networks

Model predictive control (MPC) is a very popular controller design method in the process industry. Usually MPC uses linear discrete-time models. In this paper we extend MPC to a class of discrete-event systems with both hard and soft synchronization constraints. Typical examples of such systems are railway networks, subway networks, and other logistic operations. In general the MPC control desi...

Scaling, Modeling and Traffic Control of a Real Railway Network using Max-plus Algebra and Model Predictive Control

Delay time recovery can increase the efficiency of the railway network and increase the attractiveness of railway transport against other transportation systems. This article presents a new dynamical model of railway system. The proposed model is a discrete event systems that is defined based on the deviation of travel time and deviation of stop time of trains. Due to the existence of multiple ...

Connection and speed control in railway systems – A model predictive control approach

We further enhance our previous results on model predictive control (MPC) for railway systems with both hard and soft connection constraints, i.e., railway systems where, if necessary, some connections may be broken (but then a penalty is incurred). In this paper we extend the previous model by also including variable traveling times, which offers an extra degree of freedom for control. We pres...

All-Electric Spacecraft Precision Pointing using Model Predictive Control

Recent technological advances in the development of electric microthrusters pave the way to the successful diffusion of all-electric spacecraft. Since pointing accuracy is a key requirement for space platforms, suitable control systems accounting for the peculiarity of electric on/off actuators have to be devised. In this paper, an attitude control system (ACS) for spacecraft equipped with cold...
